"Fantastic two weeks enjoying both the beach and the lakes. House lovely with lots of space for all [13 people] and everything we needed. Would recommend The Duke for dinner and a stagger home but not the Australian Restaurant near Contis Plage unless you are up for a very late night and a little aggression on the side! Dunes awesome! Water sports and canoe trip along the river a must. Many thanks to the owners for their thoughtfulness."

"Reluctant to leave after 2 wonderful weeks. House ideal with every detail and comfort thought of which suited all ages of our families. Everything we expected and more! "We spent a week at Les Arbres which was perfect in every way. The house was all that we'd hoped for and more, and the peace and tranquility was just blissful. The owners have thoughtfully provided for every comfort which was really appreciated. We followed the recommendations of previous guests and weren't disappointed. The Dune du Pilat was a return for 2 of us after 30 years and was more remarkable than the first time. One week wasn't long enough!"

"What a fabulous place to celebrate a surprise 70th birthday! Three generations gathered to enjoy a special birthday. The house is superbly equipped with plenty of space for everyone. Weather has been variable, but we have managed two days on the beach. We would recommend Arcachon dunes. Have eaten at The Duke, La Table de la Ferme, and "the blue restaurant on the corner" at Mimizan Plage, which were all excellent. Gardens by the lake are well worth a visit and we have had fun on the bikes. Thank you."

"Wonderful holiday - perfect house for all the generations. Big thanks for all the equipment and thoughtful touches. We'll recommend Les Arbres to our friends. Spend most of our time between the local beaches, walk to the lake through the flowers and of course in the garden and pool. Cakes from local bakeries are too too good and Snack Landais was great for eating out with the children. Thank you for a great time - we hope to be back soon."

"We've all felt so spoilt this week. Miles of golden sandy beaches, a fantastic pool, a huge house. Not to mention the incredible food, wine, beer, etc. Somehow the best croissants in England are tasteless when compared to one from a French bakery (let alone the pain aux raisins!). We spent many days at the local "Plage Sud", but other trips were: Cazaux Lake at Ispe - amazing if you have young children (ours are 3 and 9 months) - very shallow lake (with sand and picnic tables) - getting deeper a lot further out; the local lake at Aureillan; the Preomenade Fleurie (10 minute walk) with play park and beautiful gardens; The Duke restaurant (5 minutes walk) - really good food."

"Excellent house with plenty of room for four families. Weather during our stay was very changeable, but we visited the North beach on four of the days. Beach superb and great fun in the surf. Plenty of free parking and easy to get to. Great lunchtime meal at Mimizan Plage (Blue restaurant on the corner of the road which leads up to the flags - excellent value) Arcachon dunes are also superb and worth a visit."

"What a fantastic house for 3 families with a hoard of kids! Everything here for a comfortable home from home, and even CBEEBIES to keep the kids quiet for 5 minutes! The pool has been a godsend. We have been to the beach, the lake, Hossegor, Biarritz, Bidert, Biscarrosse, so Mimizan has been a great central point for us. Will recommend 'Les Arbres' as one of the nicer houses we have rented. Thanks!"

"We all had a great time here, and it's a great place. We all liked the pool and we did many things in Mimizan. We all had plenty of room in this gorgeous house. And we loved every minute in it! Simply the best 10/10."

"We all enjoyed a relaxing couple of weeks here. The villa was exactly as we had hoped and we all had fun in the pool. We also had some memorable trips out - Dune du Pilat near Arcachon, Biarritz, the lake and Promenade Fleurie, cycle rides to the beach, canoeing on the river, the Friday market and Lou and John even spent a couple of days walking in the Pyrénées. "Fantastic house with everything you could possibly need. Enjoyed the pool (it was so hot!), the bike ride through the forest, and the barbeque. Recommend “La Table de la Ferme” restaurant at Mimizan Plage for great food. Great location to visit the sand dune near Arcachon (a must!) and Biarritz - great beach and ice cream sundaes. Also Spain, only 1.5 hours away and worth it to see the Pyrénées and get some duty frees! Many thanks for making your house available, we’ve enjoyed every single minute of our (short) 1 week stay and truly hope to visit again in the near future."
